Leadership

Bryan Adkins, CEO

Bryan is an accomplished natural resource executive with extensive experience in nature-based solutions, ecosystem services, and carbon markets. He has held numerous leadership positions at the U.N. Environment Program, Mullion Group, Alberta Wildlife & Parks Department, and Wildlife Works Carbon. He has also worked as a consultant to many organizations including FAO, USAID, NIRAS, and the Wildlife Conservation Society. He has served as a technical advisor to the Government of Kenya, the Government of Canada, and the Government of South Sudan. He holds a BSc. from the University of Maryland and a Master’s in resource & Environmental Management from Dalhousie University.

Glen Prior, COO

For the past 25 years Glen has has focused on building economic engines and sustainable systems for mission driven organizations on a local and global scale. He trains leaders and Boards on financial management, process development, and systems thinking especially focused within mission based organizations. Starting with the premise that connecting people and ideas with proven methodologies builds a strategic foundation for long term sustainable growth, Glen excels at establishing collaborative relationships across multiple disciplines. He studied Classics at UC Irvine, Not for Profit Leadership at UC Riverside, and holds a MDiv from Azusa Pacific University.

Dr. David Vos, The Vos Foundation - Dr. Vos is co-founder of The Vos Foundation and a pioneer in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and Automated Aviation. He led Project Wing at Google [X], was Senior Director at Rockwell Collins, and founded Athena Technologies. He holds a BS in Engineering from University of Stellenbosch, an MS in Dynamics and Control from MIT, and a PhD in Estimation and Control from MIT.

Treasurer - Geof Barker, Entrepreneur & Investor - Geof serves on the boards of Smartsheet, ZipWhip, SpecialX, Light & Motion, Vimly Inc., and Tell Friends, Inc. Previously, he was the COO and co-founder of RPX Corporation, a leading provider of patent risk management solutions. He co-founded both The Cobalt Group andVigilos Inc. Mr. Barker began his career in the financial services industry as a trader and investment banker. He holds a BA in Economics from Tufts University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Board Member - Derrick Emsley, Tentree - Derrick is two-time climate entrepreneur and currently the co-founder and CEO of tentree, a fast growing, global consumer brand focused on sustainability and planting ten trees for every item sold. Named one of Forbes 30 under 30, Derrick brings experience in strategic planning, rapidly scaling global operations, and corporate carbon offsetting.

Board Member - Mark Stegemoeller, Latham & Watkins (Retired) - Mark retired from partnership in Latham & Watkins in 2015. There he practiced corporate law with significant experience in capital markets and securities matters and handled a wide variety of public and private debt and equity securities offerings for investment banking and corporate clients. He holds a JD from Northwestern University and an MBA from University of Minnesota.

Eden Projects Founder & CEO - Steve Fitch - Dr. Fitch is a visionary leader who developed a solution for deforestation and extreme poverty through the establishment of Eden Reforestation Projects. Since 2005, Eden has planted hundreds of millions of trees across the planet by providing transformational employment to over 21,000 people as agents of forest restoration. Steve earned a Doctorate from Azusa Pacific University.

Eden Projects COO, Mark Uselliis - Mark spent 13 years working at Davis Wright Tremaine, a national law firm, first as Chief Marketing Officer and then as Chief Strategy Officer. Prior to that, he held positions in public affairs and client acquisition. He also spent six years working on Capitol Hill for Congressman Pete Stark and Congressman (now Senator) Ron Wyden. He holds a BA in economics from Haverford College and a Master’s in international trade and finance from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard.
